Meet Nichole Green, an accounting major at AlabamaStateUniversity who has developed a fresh, new idea for young people. A native of California, but raised in Montgomery, Alabama is the newest designer on the block. The idea of her business came in 2012, which is a shirt that has tattoos on it that celebrities have on their actual arm and she would run it from online. Basically a tattoo sleeve on a shirt. Nichole Green had to end up closing for a while after receiving almost 30 orders a day, but soon re opened with two new shirt designs. Green is now trying to get her shirts manufactured so that they could be seamless.  Check out some of her work at www.itsnicholegreen.com or follow her on Twitter @ItsNicholeGreen.

Q: What was your core motivation for this idea?

Green: I just thought that if I would want it, others would too. So I just did it, and once everyone saw how successful it was people jumped on.

Q: How hard was it to develop your business?

Green: I didn’t really know how to go about it. I thought about painting the shirts, but heat transfer sheets were mentioned by my mom to try. And Etsy.com is the domain place to order the shirts, and search “It’s Nichole Green” to order directly.

Q: How long have you been in business?

Green: About 8 months to this day.

Q: What is the usual price for your designs?

Green: I have three shirts right now, the first show is Tat-tee $39, Louie Thomason inspired tat-tee $39 and Larry Styleson inspired shirt at $49 and it’s the first two shirt designs combined.

Q: What separates your designs from others?

Green: There are no other designs out like mines, and I have brand recognition now because someone was trying to do something very close to mines.

Q: What is next for Its Nichole Green?

Green: Im thinking about shoe tatt’s, and that is where I see my designs going in the future.
