CHURCH GONE WILD PROJECT
1. Tell us about your new project.
My new project is my gospel debut and is entitled “Church Gone Wild Project”. This project is a 7 song EP featuring production by Kold Breed Muzik, Da Moon, and Slim Terra. It also has features from Grammy award winning artist Tasha Catour and Dhall. This project took a year or two to complete because GOD wanted me to take my time with every song, every message, and the final presentation of the project. I wanted to treat each song like an individual single to make sure it would be able to reach not just individuals in the church but people worldwide. I’m not here to save the church; I’m here to bring the souls in outside the church who don’t know about GOD. This project has music that appeals to all people dealing life, sin, and religion. Church Gone Wild stands for the unashamed, radical praise and true bold soldiers of GOD who are not afraid to step outside the box of tradition to spread The Lords word. And not to mention the cd is Hott.
2. Since we last spoke, you released a single “No Wed, No Bed”. How did that go for you?
It went great, everyone was excited to finally hear the single and see the visuals behind it. I plan on shooting 5 more videos that will serve as mini movies for No Wed No Bed titled “Choices” with Kold Breed Films. The first video received rave reviews so I praise GOD for that.
3. You are building a brand for yourself as well as Holy Hip Hop. What challenges have you faced and how did you overcome them?
We’ll my music ministry is the brand but it’s not mine it’s GOD. So everything I do concerning the music ministry has to have and be about GOD otherwise I’ll be contradicting myself like artist and companies you see in the media. The challenges I face as an independent gospel artist is the support while working as an independent label. I’m a one man band serving as my own stylist, PR person, marketing, designer, booking agent, manager, and etc. And sometimes people fail to realize the level of work that goes behind just one project, video or single. It takes not only the essential backing but the support. It took me 2 years of hearing NOs from companies, labels and even churches before I even got somebody to believe enough in what I was doing to sponsor me. But GOD never let me down. Even with no backing I’ve been nominated for 5 awards in 2013 and 2014 before releasing an album and being the only independent artist nominated at the Gospel Choice Awards, I’ve release two successful singles, videos, toured, and released an album worldwide by GODs grace not by Mans. So we people say NOs I always know it’s a yes waiting from GOD.

5. Describe to us the impact your music has had on our youth.
It’s music that is needed. We hear people say all the time they want change, we need something up lifting on the radio and on TV for our young people to listen to, but they are not supporting the real music and artist who are providing these outlets. But I’ve seen GOD continue to open up doors with this music minister that allows me and others to go out into the streets, clubs, hoods, schools, and communities as reach our youth. I’m not afraid to speak the gospel and reach out to those persons who are ashamed, because if are just speaking behind four walls the message won’t get out. I don’t just want to impact the youth I want to bring souls into the kingdom. And I hope with this album I can do that.
