3 Tips to Engage Customers on Facebook

LuSo maybe you are not on Facebook or you have a Facebook page for your business but you don’t know where to begin.  If you know you need a Facebook presence, you are right.  Though there are many social media networks that are in competition with Facebook, it still remains the number one social network in the world.  Here are three tips that you can use to help you engage with your current customers and help you get more customers.

  1. Post Daily

You want to post on your Facebook page at the very least one time a day.  There really isn’t a magic number.  You may not want to post more than 4 to 5 times but you will have to test what is best for your page.  The Facebook algorithm is constantly changing but it is definitely recommended that you post, at the very least, one time daily.    Remember that your customers do no wake up thinking about you and your product or service.  Facebook should be an additional avenue, along with any other marketing, to share information with your customers.  On Facebook’s Business Page, there is an option to schedule your post.  You should check your page at least once a day but you can schedule your post up to six months in advance so you don’t have to worry about posting every day.

  1. Share great content

One of the best ways to gain more traffic to your Facebook page is great content.  Content is Queen when it comes to sharing information on social media. One of the best ways to connect with your customers and keep them engaged is to share beneficial information about your product or service.  Let’s say you own an automobile repair shop, what better way than to share information about to do’s and don’ts when caring for your vehicle.  Pictures and videos weigh heavily on Facebook.  You should consider taking a picture or video of you and your business.

  1. Be Social  and Engage with your Audience

Remember Facebook is social media so being social is what keeps your customers engaged and helps you get more.  You don’t have to tell all of your personal business or what you are doing each minute.  If your customers write a public review on your Facebook page, “like” and publicly thank that customer for the review.  Responding to your customer’s review will help others see that you have a review and can help you get new customers. Don’t be afraid to share a new update.  If you attended a business related seminar, maybe you spoke to a civic group about your business or you just received new furniture in the business.  Facebook is an easy way to keep your customers informed.  You would be surprised how your customers appreciate staying connected with you.

Facebook is a great free resource to connect and stay connected with your customers.  Because your customers have friends on Facebook, when you engage with them, their friends are likely to see that engagement.  This is almost like a free referral to your business.  Customer acquisition is very challenging for most business owners so a Facebook page, strategically used, adds to being a great resource.
