Autauga County Board of Education Appoints Bradley D. Robbins as New District 1 Board Member

Autauga County, AL- The Autauga County Board of Education appointed Bradley D. Robbins as the new District 1 Board Member, following the resignation of Dr. Tracye Strichik to take a new professional position. With a deep commitment to education and community, Mr. Robbins brings a wealth of personal and professional educational experience and fresh perspectives that will help continue to move Autauga County Schools forward.

Brad joins the Autauga County Board of Education with 15 years of post-secondary educational experience, having held several roles at Auburn University at Montgomery. In his current role as the Director of Career Development, he serves as the university’s subject-matter expert for student and alumni career development.

One of the driving forces behind his decision to apply for the District 1 appointment was his family. The Robbins family is an avid supporter of public education and is heavily involved in the Prattville schools. He’s the husband of a veteran kindergarten teacher and is the proud dad to a Prattville High School graduate and soon-to-be PHS senior.

Mr. Robbins earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a Management Concentration from Troy University in 1997, a Master of Business Administration with a Human Resources Management Concentration from Auburn University Montgomery in 2005, and is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy in Adult Education from Auburn University with an anticipated completion in 2026. In addition to his formal education, he has earned a Professional of Human Resources (PHR) Certification and completed the Auburn University at Montgomery Leadership Academy.

With a vision for a collaborative and forward-thinking approach to education, he looks forward to working closely with fellow board members, district leaders, teachers, parents, and the community to make Autauga County Schools a place where every student can thrive. “My passion lies in helping students succeed—not just academically, but in becoming thoughtful, prepared citizens. I believe in data-informed decision-making, community collaboration, and transparent governance. I welcome the opportunity to serve alongside other board members in supporting teachers, empowering students, and ensuring that our district continues to grow and thrive,” commented Robbins.
