MONTGOMERY, Alabama As part of its annual “Harvest Season,” during which the church focuses efforts and resources on impacting their Westside community through empowerment, outreach and support services, Community Congregational Church (3481 South Court Street, Montgomery) is partnering with the non-partisan organization A.V.E.R.A. (Alabama Voter Education and Registration Association) to put on a county-wide Town Hall focusing on issues of voter empowerment and information on Tuesday, October 18th at 6:30 pm. City and county officials will be present to answer all questions surrounding the political process in advance of next month’s election.
Also, throughout the months of October and November the church is offering eight (8) free, information-packed financial literacy sessions for all interested. Facilitated by Mr. Rahsaan Jones, a local Regions Bank branch manager, these sessions will take place each Wednesday night of October and November (except Thanksgiving week) at 6:00 pm.
Each hour-long session will present pertinent financial information about all phases of life, from a Christian perspective. All printed materials are absolutely free and the sessions, which are open to all, will be held on-site at Community Congregational Church at 3481 South Court Street, Montgomery, AL 36105.
