Montgomery, AL- Last week the Alabama House Democratic Causcus hosted a press conferece that focused on the “Safe Alabama” legislative package. Featured speakers will included Representative Ontario Tillman (HD56-Birmingham), Representative Prince Chestnut (HD67-Selma), and Representative Christopher England
(HD70-Tuscaloosa).
They specifically address HB202, sponsored by Rep. Reynolds, which would expand qualified immunity for police and make it virtually impossible to hold a bad officer accountable in civil or criminal court if they violate the law or department policies.
