Montgomery, AL- CC’s Daiquiris is celebrating its “official” grand reopening on Friday, January 19, 2024. Officials from the Montgomery Area Chamber of Commerce will join owner Candy Capel, coowners Orlando Cannon and Charles Lewis, and operations manager Qiana James for a ribbon cutting ceremony at 3 pm. The ceremony will be followed by an on-site party from 3-7pm.
CC’s Daiquiris’ new location at 80 Commerce Street is next door to the former “Sous La Terre”, a late-night music fixture for many years in downtown Montgomery. The historic significance of the location is not lost on Capel.
“We’re proud to be part of the tradition that has made this corner a go-to mainstay in Montgomery”, says Capel. “It’s only fitting that the rebirth of CC’s Daiquiris take place right here.”
Loyal customers who have been clamoring for the return of flavors such as Gator Water, Voodoo Surprise and the always-popular Hurricane are being rewarded for their patience.
While enjoying their authentic New Orleans daiquiris, patrons are immediately transported to a “Big Easy” experience through the hand-painted murals on the wall, generous supplies of
Mardi Gras beads, and the musical sounds of traditional brass bands.
The grand reopening will feature free food, music, giveaways and the shop’s New Orleans style daiquiris. The shop will be open during its weekend hours of 3 p.m. until 12 am, and
Happy Hour is observed from 4-7 pm. The event is open to the public.
