Pike Road Summer Fest!
July 4 @ 5:00 pm - 9:00 pm$10
PIKE ROAD, Ala – It’s almost time for another exciting Pike Road Fourth of July! The Town of Pike Road’s SummerFest and the Pike Road Community Club Fourth of July Parade are both set for Thursday, July 4. The Pike Road Arts Center will also be open to the public for the Magic of America! Art Show.
The Pike Road Community Club will host their annual Fourth of July Parade in the Town of Pike Road’s Historic District, located along Pike Road. Participation in the parade is free and open to the public, and whether you enter your pet goat, your bicycle or your antique car, it should be decorated in red, white and blue! Registration will begin at 8:30 a.m. at the Pike Road Schools’ Historic Campus (4710 Pike Road), where the parade will begin at 9:30 a.m. The parade will travel along Pike Road and Meriwether Road before turning around at the Feed Lot and ending at the Historic Campus.
Before or after the parade, the Pike Road Arts Council invites you to view the Magic of America! Art Show, open to the public at the Pike Road Arts Center (944 Wallahatchie Rd) from 8 a.m. – 12 p.m. There will be snacks, coffee, and all things art!
Then, take a break for lunch, grab your lawn chairs, and hop back in the car. The Fourth of July festivities will continue in the afternoon with SummerFest. This annual Fourth of July celebration is hosted by the Town of Pike Road and will take place at The Waters off Marler Road. Gates will open at 4:30 p.m., and the fun begins at 5 p.m. Admission is $10 per vehicle.
As always, this year’s SummerFest will feature food, family-friendly fun, and fireworks. Attendees are encouraged to bring a blanket or lawn chairs to enjoy live music from Brandon Self. Nancy’s Italian Ice will be on site selling snow cones, Southern Smoke Shack BBQ will provide food for purchase, and H2O Cafe and the Hole in the Wall Coffee Shop will be open for business. The night will culminate with a fireworks spectacular overlooking Lake Cameron, Montgomery County’s largest lake.
“SummerFest is an event that truly exemplifies the Pike Road spirit,” said Gordon Stone, Mayor of the Town of Pike Road. “It is an old-fashioned, fun opportunity for families to gather and celebrate the birth of this nation. We are proud to host this celebration each year and to be able to showcase our spirit of hospitality and honor those who have helped make our town, state, and nation a special place to call home.”
Patriotic spirit runs deep in Pike Road, and the Fourth of July has always been special to the local community. Since the incorporation of the Town of Pike Road in 1997, SummerFest has grown to be one of the River Region’s largest and most anticipated Fourth of July events. All are invited to join us for this annual celebration of our nation’s independence.
“SummerFest is a fun, family event that would not be the same without the thousands of participants and volunteers,” Stone said. “Thank you to all of the people of Pike Road for their enthusiasm and energy, which make this a joyful celebration year after year.”
