DESCRIPTION:The City of Montgomery and partner organizations will host a kick-off party for the Central Alabama Neighborhood Health Initiative\, a new campaign to improve health literacy and outcomes in central Alabama. This partnership was made possible through the City of Montgomery’s receipt of a $3.9 million grant from the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services – Office of Minority Health. \nWhat: Central Alabama Neighborhood Health Initiative’s Montgomery Kick-Off Party. \nWhen: July 9 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.   \nWhere: Tuskegee University Urban Agriculture Innovation Center\, 595 Grady Street\, Montgomery\, AL 36108. \nThis family-friendly event will offer activities for all ages to enjoy\, including FREE food from local food trucks\, music and plenty of other vendors. Programming will also include: \n\nOpportunities to donate to the LifeSouth Bloodmobile;\nCOVID-19 testing;\nLicensed medical professionals onsite;\nLibrary card registration;\nTours the Agriculture Innovation Center;\nCooking demonstrations;\nExercise demonstrations and yoga;\nEducational segments from local healthcare organizations;
