SUMMARY:Spirited Conversation- A Book Discussion
DESCRIPTION:For over twenty years\, Wideman Davis Dance’s (WDD) founding partners and co-artistic directors\, Tanya Wideman-Davis and Thaddeus Davis\, have created dance performances and educational projects that center Black experiences and histories within the African diaspora. Wideman Davis Dance received funding from the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation for Migratuse Reimagined. The funding is for three years and will allow them to hold 18-week residencies (three iterations of six weeks over the course of 12 months) in three locations Montgomery\, AL\, Harpersville\, AL\, and Columbia\, SC. \nAdditionally they are providing support to artists in the community. WDD invites 10 Montgomery-based artists\, creators\, and craftspeople working within the Black diaspora to partner with us during the final two phases of our Montgomery residency.
