SUMMARY:Back to School Bash
DESCRIPTION:Montgomery\, Ala. – To celebrate the start of the new academic year\, Montgomery Public Schools will host our annual Back to School Bash on Saturday\, August 3\, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Garrett Coliseum\, 1555 Federal Drive. This free event will include food\, hands-on activities\, inflatables\, and entertainment for students and families as they prepare for the upcoming school year. \n  \nWe are excited to join forces with our sponsors and community partners. The Back-to-School Bash is designed to help families prepare for the first day of school on Thursday\, August 8\, and the 2024- 2025 academic year. Families will also have the opportunity to receive free backpacks and school supplies. \n  \nActivities at this year’s event will include: \n  \n\n\nLearning & Fun: Learning activities and resources with MPS team and community partners\, craft stations\, STEM activities\, face painting\, and more \n\n\nCommunity Resources: There will be many community organizations available to provide informational resources for families \n\n\nFood: Families can enjoy free food sponsored by Omega Psi Phi Fraternity\, Incorporated \n\n\nEntertainment: Performances and music from our very own students and a special guest. \n\n\n  \n“We are thrilled to host this event with our students and families of MPS to start the school year off on the right foot\,” said Dr. Melvin Brown\, Superintendent. “We are grateful for the support of our sponsors and community partners\, and we look forward to a fun and educational event for all who attend.” \n  \nMontgomery Public Schools looks forward to seeing everyone at Garrett Coliseum for a day of excitement and preparation for the new school year.
