Montgomery, AL – The American Theatre of BEing (ATOBE), led by acclaimed actress and educator Tonea Stewart, will host an Interest Meeting on Sunday, April 12, 2026, at the Montgomery Museum of Fine Arts to introduce a new workforce training initiative for careers in film and entertainment.
The program is designed to build a local talent pipeline across acting, production, and technical fields, helping position Montgomery as a growing hub for film and media. Training opportunities will include virtual sessions, one-on-one instruction, group acting classes, and hands-on workshops led by industry professionals.
The event begins with a 3:00 p.m. reception, followed by the interest meeting at 3:30 p.m. Admission is free and open to professionals and aspiring creatives, including hairstylists, makeup artists, photographers, videographers, carpenters, production assistants and others. “This is more than a training program, it’s an ecosystem designed to connect local talent to real industry opportunities,” said Stewart.
The initiative is supported by key partners including the Montgomery Museum of Fine Arts, WSFA 12 News, and the Alabama State Council on the Arts, reflecting a collaborative effort to strengthen the region’s creative economy and workforce development pipeline.
Attendees will also have the opportunity to join ATOBE’s database of trained professionals for future casting and production opportunities.
