Montgomery, AL- Knott Enuff is one of Alabama’s rising Southern Soul artists. With hits like “Bartender” and “Dance With Me,” he brings a unique style that is inspired by the O’Jays, Temptations, Smokey Robinson, and Marvin Gaye. His passion for music is the machine that drives him to create lyrics that listeners can connect with.
“Lyrics are meaningful and have purpose” Knott Enuff shared. “Music is an escape. I know how it makes me feel. I know how it makes others feel.”
Born in Fairfax, Virginia, Knott Enuff started his musical journey in church, where he was introduced to the power of music at an early age. As a preacher’s kid or “PK,” music was woven into the fabric of his upbringing. The church provided him with a platform to explore his passion and develop his love for music. This early exposure instilled in him a lifelong dedication to his craft.
In 2007, Knott Enuff moved to Montgomery after living in Dallas, Texas for four years. Since living in Montgomery, he has continued to hone his skills, consistently performing and sharing his gift with others.
Last year, Knott Enuff launched HIT4HIT Entertainment, a record label that helps aspiring artists. The label serves as a one-stop-shop for artists by providing publicists, stylists, barbers, engineers, designers, merchandise printing, and more. “I want to help artists put out great music and make sure they have access to the resources they need” he said.
Music is in Knott Enuff’s DNA, and he has carried his passion for music wherever life has taken him. This passion has helped him overcome obstacles in his musical career. He has experienced roadblocks from gatekeepers in the industry and has faced backlash from some promoters and other artists. “You have to have thick skin in this industry” he stated. “You have to learn how to take your frustration out in the booth and make a hit!”

In addition, Knott Enuff has a strong background in academics. A graduate of Florida Agricultural & Mechanical University (FAMU) and Florida State University (FSU), he holds a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and a Master of Science in Teaching Special Education. His educational background, paired with his diverse life experiences, has equipped him to connect with people from all walks of life.
Giving back to the community is a priority for Knott Enuff. He believes that it requires more than simply writing a check to help. Last month, he volunteered to help with Alabama State Representative Penni McClammy’s Thanksgiving Giveaway. “It’s about getting boots on the ground and breaking a sweat” he said.
Knott Enuff has performed throughout Alabama and other states including Florida, Georgia, Maryland, Mississippi, South Carolina, and Texas.
Today, Knott Enuff remains a devoted educator and performer. His story is one of perseverance, talent, and education to both his professional and personal pursuits.
