Prattville, AL- Representative Kelvin Lawrence-AL District 69, and Councilman Marcus Jackson- Prattville City Council District 2 will host their 2nd Annual Juneteenth Family Night Concert to honor the contributions of Black Americans while remembering the emancipation of those who had been enslaved.

This family-friendly celebration will include live entertainment, local food and retail vendors and community resources. The event will also honor local community champions for their service.

Prattville City Councilman Marcus Jackson said, “Juneteenth is a time to celebrate emancipation and liberation, while recognizing there’s more to do to fully achieve freedom for all. It is a celebration to commemorate the often-unspoken work of local African Americans and to continue a tradition of bringing the community together. We hope that families will come out and enjoy the fellowship and festivities.”

The event will be held at Mac Gray Park, 1050 Martin Luther King Dr., Prattville, AL 36067 at 4:00 pm.

Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets or chairs, and family to join the celebration!

The event is free and open to the public.
