Legislators say they are fighting for West Alabama

Linden, AL– On May 29th, Representatives AJ McCampbell and Thomas Jackson, along with Senator Bobby Singleton hosted a second Town Hall Meeting at the Marengo County Economic Development Authority.

The Democratic Legislators gave a recap of what bills passed, and what bills did not. They also talked about the challenges they faced in fighting for economic development, education, and healthcare in West Alabama.

Senator Singleton talked about the West Alabama Corridor and the opportunities that it would bring to the county. He also discussed the initiatives to increase broadband in the Black Belt.

There was a Q and A session at the end of the meeting where attendees asked questions and shared concerns for the county.

Information on the next meeting has yet to be released.
