MONTGOMERY, AL – Planning to travel abroad? The Montgomery County Probate Court is now a U.S. State Department-approved passport acceptance facility.
Residents can now apply for a U.S. passport at either the Probate Court East Office (located at 5449 Atlanta Highway, Montgomery, AL 36109) or the Probate Court South office (located at 3425 McGehee Road, Montgomery, AL 36111). The Probate Court’s West Office will begin accepting applications on April 18 and is located at 3075 Mobile Highway, Montgomery, AL 36108.
Now, while you renew your driver’s license, renew your automobile tag, or register a new vehicle you can now apply for a passport. Documents for passports will be available for adults and children.
“We are thrilled to offer this new convenient service for hardworking families across Montgomery County,” said Probate Judge J C Love. “Making services more accessible to and efficient for residents has always been our mission, and this latest announcement continues our work to empower residents to handle more of their necessary business in one location.”
The Passport Acceptance Facility Center operating hours are Monday – Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. by appointment only. Please visit montgomeryprobatecourtal.gov to schedule an appointment.
