(Montgomery, Ala.) The Capitol Sounds Concert Band will present “A Summer Spectacular” Concert on Thursday, June 9, 7 p.m., at Saint James United Methodist Church on Vaughn Road in East Montgomery.
The Capitol Sounds Concert Band will perform H. Owen Reed’s “La Fiesta Mexicana” and also feature Dr. Bryan Reeves on trumpet as the band pays tribute to Big Band artist Harry James. In addition the Capitol Sounds will feature music by John Williams, including “Olympic Fanfare and Theme” as well as “Superman March”.
The event is free and open to the public, but donations are gladly accepted and will go towards performances for our upcoming 2016-17 season, including our Children’s Concert and the Young Artist Solo Competition.
