Montgomery, AL- Montogmery Public Schools Chief School FInancial Officer Mr. Arthur Watts will start a new role at the Alabama State Department of Education as the new Deputy State Superintendent
of Education for Administration and Finance.

Brown: “I am thrilled to congratulate our Chief School Financial Officer (CSFO), Mr. Arthur Watts, on receiving an outstanding job offer from the Alabama State Department of Education. This new opportunity is a testament to his exceptional skills, dedication, and unwavering commitment to excellence in financial stewardship and the students of MPS.
Throughout his tenure with our district, Mr. Watts has played a pivotal role in ensuring the fiscal health and stability of our district. His departure leaves a significant void, and it will not be easy to find someone who can match his expertise and dedication. However, we are confident that he will continue to be a strong advocate for our school system. “
