(Prattville, AL)– Prattville’s Way Off Broadway Theatre announces auditions for Crimes of the Heart, by Beth Henley, which will be presented through special arrangement with Dramatist Play Services, Inc. The production will be directed by Brady Walker, who is debuting as a director at WOBT.

There will be roles for four females and two males ages early 20s to 30s. Auditions will be held Sunday & Monday, January 21 & 22, from 6:30-9:30 pm at the Prattville Cultural Arts Center at 203 West 4th Street, Prattville, Alabama 36067. Please plan to attend both days, if possible. Auditions are open to anyone interested, and no prepared pieces are
required. You will be doing cold readings from the script. Acting resumes and pictures are appreciated, but not necessary. Please bring with you all available information as far as scheduling conflicts for February through April.

This Pulitzer Prize winning play is a touching and sometimes hilarious look at three sisters gathering at their old home place for their grandfather’s last days. During this time together the sisters, while trying to escape their past, learn to embrace the future.

Crimes of the Heart will open on Thursday, April 12, at 7:30 pm with an Opening-Night Reception to follow. All remaining performances will be held on three consecutive weekends April 13 through April 29, on Fridays & Saturdays at 7:30 pm and Sundays at 2:00 pm.
