Senior Day Calls for Rings at Samford Stadium!

This Saturday the Huntingdon Hawks football team won their third straight USA South Conference Championship! With the landslide win over Methodist University (55-7), it was the final game before the team could announce their guaranteed status to the public. After key players closed the game in the first half, some of the younger players took over later including freshman running back Eric Thomas. Thomas rushed 161 yards on 21 carries for a career high performance. The Monarchs were held to a single touchdown thanks to defensive efforts from Linell Tarver, Trey Hayes, Charlie Jones, and Austin Washington. With this win, the Hawks also set a program record with 34 wins over four years. This senior class was given most of the credit from Coach Turk and have set the record for wins by a certain class.

Senior Cheerleaders: Hannah Johnson & Raina Lanier

The Hawks will close out the regular conference season next weekend November 11th at LaGrange College.
