The Eagle Institute to position city as global national defense leader

Montgomery, AL- The Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for The Eagle Institute was held Tuesday afternoon. Launched by Air University Innovation Accelerator (AUiX), The Eagle Institute is a state-of-the-art Air University Innovation Center that brings government, community, industry, and academia together inside of the Historic Kress Building.
“This is an exciting day for the U.S. Air Force, Montgomery, our state” said AUiX Innovation and Outreach Chief Rashim McKinney. “We hope to develop more conscious and impactful leaders.”
City of Montgomery COO and former Maxwell-Gunter Air Force Base Vice Wing Commander Jerime Reid gave remarks and mentioned that the city is looking forward to what the Eagle Institute is going to bring to the city. “We’re moving from a city of potential energy to a city with kinetic energy.”
Montgomery Area Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Anna Buckalew is also riding the wave of excitement for the Eagle Institute. “This partnership will help position our city to become a global leader. We will be the global center of competitiveness for national defense.”
