The Practical Nursing program achieved a 100 percent NCLEX licensing exam pass rate for 2020. Amid a global pandemic, transitioning to remote learning and virtual and in-person clinicals, our nursing students showed perseverance and commitment to graduating and achieving the perfect licensing exam pass rate. The score achieved by nursing students results in a 3-year rolling average of 82.69 percent pass rate for the Practical Nursing program.
Associate Dean of Allied Health Dr. Tracie Carter attributes the perfect score to Dr. Debra Lett, director of Nursing programs, for her steadfast work with students. She said, “ Her diligence was crucial in assisting nursing students with achieving this outstanding goal.”
The Practical Nursing program at Trenholm State provides a comprehensive education needed to prepare the next generation of nurses for the workforce. NCLEX is a national licensing exam for nurses.
Graduates must pass the NCLEX to receive their nursing license to practice nursing. The exam is designed to test the knowledge, skills, and abilities essential for the safe and effective practice of nursing at the entry-level.
