Prattville’s Way Off Broadway Theatre announces its production of the award winning play, The Amen Corner, by James Baldwin, to be produced by special arrangement with Samuel French, INC., opening on February 14. The production will run weekends through March 3 and will be directed by Tara Fenn, former President of the Board of Directors at WOBT.
The Amen Corner tells the story of Margaret, a single mother and pastor, who has lived a public life of undying holiness and devotion to her Lord, and her struggle to maintain her position of faith and her family amidst secrets that unfold and all that life throws her way. The Amen Corner opens Thursday, February 14, 2019, at 7:30 p.m. and there will be a reception to meet the cast and crew following the play. The remaining performances of the production will be held Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from February 15 through March 3, 2019.
