Linden, AL- Representatives A.J. McCampbell and Thomas Jackson, along with Senator Bobby Singleton
hosted a Town Hall Meeting on Saturday, April 26th, at the Marengo County Economic Development Authority.
Members of the community were able to hear updates on key bills such as the Alabama Renewing Alabama’s Investment in Student Excellence (RAISE) Act and the Alabama CHOOSE Act.
Rep. McCampbell gave an overview of the new West Alabama Highway project ,which will create a 4-lane corridor from Thomasville to Moundville. He said that the project will bring economic opportunities to Morengo County.
Rep. Jackson talked about federal budget cuts and how familes in Marengo county are negatively impacted.
The next Town Hall Meeting is scheduled to take place toward the end of May.
