Montgomery, AL- Huntingdon Volleyball finishes the weekend with a 6-8 record. On Friday, the team ended the day with three wins over Mississippi University for Women, Rust, and Miles to open the Hawks Invitational. Hawks then competed against LaGrange (25-21, 25-21, 31-29) and Faulkner (25-17, 25-23,25-20) with close loses to both teams.
Freshman Amy Tyma has had an impressive start to the season and finished Saturday night with a total of 15 kills between the two matches. Senior Bria Rochelle followed close behind with 10 kills in the opening match to LaGrange. Kaitlyn Carter and Devyn Stringer led the team in assists for the two matches and contributed with a combined total of 31 assists in the loss to LaGrange. Hawks will travel to Pensacola Christian Thursday September 21st to play Pensacola at 3 p.m. and Concordia at 5 p.m. CT.
