Montgomery, AL- St. John’s AME Church-Montgomery cordially invites you to attend their Law Day Celebration Weekend activities on April 23rd & 24th.

On Saturday, April 23rd @ 10am, St. John’s will host a Youth Law Awareness Empowerment Summit to educate youth in regards to making “Good Decisions” and understanding the “Consequences of Their Actions” in regards to encounters with the law. This summit will feature representatives from the Montgomery Police Department, the district attorney’s office, Department of Corrections, Mothers Against Drunk Driving, Operation Good Shepherd, judges & ministers who will share their knowledge on topics such as “Respecting the Person & the Uniform, Prom Night Dating and What to Do if Stopped by the Police”. There will be a RoundTable Discussion of Panelist. Lunch will be served & Community Certificates will be given to youth that attend this informative summit. Contact Rev. On Sunday, April 24th, during the 10:30am worship service, St. John’s will hold its Third Annual Law Day Celebration Service. The guest speaker for the occasion will be Honorable Judge Glenda A. Hatchett, Founder of The Hatchett Firm, P.C., former Chief Judge of the Juvenile Court of Fulton County, Georgia, and host of the nationally syndicated television show, “Judge Hatchett.” The Law Day theme this year is “Miranda More than Words”. The community, judges, attorneys, law enforcement officers, elected and appointed officials are invited to join the St. John’s congregation for this worship and fellowship.
