Montgomery, AL- The Huntingdon football team started USA South conference play with a 41-30 win over North Carolina Wesleyan Saturday afternoon. Just after overcoming a physical Birmingham-Southern College team last week and suffering multiple injuries on the starting lineup, Hawks’ pushed through for another comeback win. Otis Porter (R) and Brandon Williams (LB) both had noteworthy performances in the win over the Battling Bishops. Porter finished the game with eight receptions for 197 yards and two touchdowns, while Williams finished with 14 tackles, two sacks, and a forced fumble.

The Hawks now advance to a 2-1, 1-0 USA South record with another conference game versus the Ferrum Panthers in Virginia this Saturday September 23rd at 12:00 PM CT.
