7th Annual Rosa Parks Day

Saint Paul AME Church is leading the charge in celebrating the 7th Annual Rosa Parks Day in Alabama. In 2018, the Alabama Legislature voted to designate Rosa Parks Day, December 1, the day she was arrested in 1955 for refusing to give up her seat on a segregated bus to a white passenger. Her action ignited the year-long Montgomery bus boycott and helped usher in the civil rights movement. Therefore, our seventh annual celebration will be held on Sunday, December 1, 2024.
