Alabama Recovery Advocacy Day

March 5 @ 8:30 am - 1:00 pm

Mark your calendars! The second annual Alabama Recovery Advocacy Day is set for March 5, 2025 in Montgomery! Hosted by the Alabama Alliance for Recovery Residences in partnership with the Alabama Bureau of Pardons and Paroles, ALRAD serves as a platform to raise awareness about the importance of recovery, share resources, and advocate for addiction recovery support.

This event will bring together people from all walks of life, including recovery advocates, justice-involved individuals, policymakers, and those who have been dedicated to making Alabama a more inclusive and supportive state for all.

Last year, Alabama Governor Kay Ivey led a public celebration for the inaugural Alabama Recovery Advocacy Day as it was the first in a series of annual events hosted in Montgomery, bringing the recovery community and partners together to connect with state leaders and government officials.

Events begin at 8:30 a.m. at the Multiplex at Cramton Bowl with presentations by recovery organizations on how they help people with substance use disorder find recovery and support. In addition, individuals who have experienced recovery from substance use disorder will be sharing their personal stories of life change.

Visit www.alrad.info for more information about the event, including registration details and updates.
