Figures Announces Transition Advisory Council

Mobile, AL- Yesterday, Alabama District 2 Congressman-Elect Shomari Figures released his Transition
Advisory Council. This bipartisan council will provide insight, recommendations, and advice to
Figures as he prepares to represent the 13 counties of District 2 in Congress beginning in
January.

Figures says that his team committed to hitting the ground running, and working in an
informed, bipartisan fashion to solve the challenges in District 2. 

The bipartisan group of advisors collectively represent a variety of sectors, with each member of the
having direct ties to one or more counties in District 2. The council includes former members of Congress; local, county, and state level officials; and various leaders in the business, education, faith, and law enforcement communities.

Figures campaigned on the promise of working across the aisle to bring resources back to the
District to help address issues such as healthcare, economic development, infrastructure
investments, education, and gun violence .
