Former Olympic Gymnast to visit the Prattville YMCA Nastia Liukin to conduct clinic on February 8, 2020


Prattville, AL- Nastia Liukin, the 2008 Olympic all-around champion and five-time Olympic medalist is coming to the Prattville YMCA Gymnastics Facility on Saturday, February 8, 2020! 

Gymnast in the community will have a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to meet an Olympic Champion, to raise funds for the YMCA gymnastics program, and win great prizes! Gymnast who raise $125 may attend the “Gymnastics Clinic with Nastia.” Additional fundraising levels qualify athletes to other sessions including a Q & A, autograph session, goal setting or a private lunch with the Olympic Champion. Participants may go online to register at, and then they can begin raising funds. 

The 2008 Olympic Games was Nastia’s shinning moment. She was instrumental in the USA’s success, leading the team to a silver medal. Individually, Nastia won a bronze medal on floor and a silver medal on the balance beam and uneven bars. With the performance of a lifetime, she won the coveted all-around Olympic gold medal title ahead of teammate Shawn Johnson! Nastia’s victory marked just the third time that an American woman had won the Olympic all-around title. Nastia finished her competitive career with five Olympic medals and nine World medals, the second highest total of any U.S. gymnast.
