Montgomery, AL- Montgomery-based Pate Landscape Company was recently awarded a BuildSouth Award from the Associated General Contractors of Alabama (AGC). The award was presented at the AGC annual banquet at The Club in Birmingham. Selection criteria included excellence in project management, innovative techniques, sensitivity to surroundings, and excellence in client services.
Pate received the award for their work on 17 Springs, a new destination for recreation, entertainment, and retail in Millbrook, Alabama. This expansive, multi-phase development features a football field, baseball and softball fields, pickleball courts, and an 87,000 sq ft field house that doubles as a rentable event space.
17 Springs is a joint effort between the Elmore County Commission, the City of Millbrook, Grandview YMCA, Elmore County Board of Education, and the Elmore County Economic Development Authority. These organizations recognized the tremendous potential of creating a vibrant outdoor space for community enjoyment, while also fostering long-term economic growth for the region.
With over forty-two years of expertise in landscape construction, Pate played a key role in providing innovative solutions and guidance throughout each phase of development. Pate Landscape Company was privileged to collaborate with Stone Building Company to help bring this transformative project to life.
Pate President Jason Walker is excited about this accomplishment.
“This project embodies everything we love about the construction industry, and we are grateful for the opportunity to help create a legacy for the community to enjoy. I’m proud of our team for their outstanding work.”
