Trenholm State Host’s Career Discovery Spring Expo and College Career Night

(Montgomery, AL)- On April 4-5, 2019, Trenholm State Community College-Patterson Site will host Career Discovery, a two-day expo and college night designed to expose 8th graders to local/regional career and educational opportunities. The event is sponsored by Central Alabama Works, a non-profit organization established in 2015 to align workforce/education resources to help close the skills gap in business and industry in Region 5, which includes Autauga, Bullock, Chambers, Coosa, Dallas, Elmore, Lee, Lowndes, Macon, Montgomery, Perry, Russell, and Tallapoosa Counties.

Eighth graders will tour three worlds with 11 career clusters featuring different exhibits, broken down by industries like advanced manufacturing, healthcare, public safety, hospitality/culinary arts, and automotive manufacturing. High school students and their families can participate in a college and career night on April 5, 2019, from 4:00 p.m.- 6:00 p.m., in the Auditorium. College representatives and employers will be available to talk with students about college and career options. For more information, visit www.career-discovery.org.
