When did you start out being interested in music and decided that you wanted to pursue a career in it?

Coming from a religious background, I grew up in the church so I was always around music. While my parents were away, I would listen to various artists such as Notorious B.I.G. and Tupac Shakur. At the time of my upbringing, southern rap wasn’t as popular as it is now. My start with the trumpet came from my big brother.

How long have you been doing this profession?

I’ve been professionally performing since the age of 16.

Tell us about your most current project.

I=MC2 is my most current project. I plan to finish this project in March and release it late Spring, early Summer. It solely deals with music and life. Most importantly, being unique, being yourself, and remembering that beauty is flawed. I also have a new single ” Grooving High ” that’s already released.

How long have you been in the music industry?

I started playing the trumpet at 7 years old, rapping at 14 years old and recording at 18 years old.

Where have you performed besides Montgomery?

Every state in the southeast of the United States: Alabama, Georgia, Florida, Tennessee, Mississippi, Louisiana and Texas.

What inspires you to write and produce your music?

I believe that Hip Hop and Jazz is an art just like Picasso. Hip Hop and Jazz is American just like baseball. Hip Hop in America is viewed more so a stereotype than an Art form. I don’t think America realizes how powerful Hip Hop is in society. I feel like that rose that grew from concrete being that I’m fusing Jazz and Hip Hop together to create an art that needs to hit home (Montgomery). Basically, I get my inspiration from going back to my roots learning my Hip Hop and Jazz background. Dating back to a period where blacks spoke out about different issues that wasn’t being spoke about through music or as far as Black slaves that took it upon themselves to learn different music and instruments. All of this created the pioneers of today whom are great inspirations.
